The Psalms are full of reverend praise to God, the creator of the heavens and the earth. When we catch a glimmer of how big and awesome He is, our natural response is to praise Him. The word praise means to express warm approval or admiration.

This Psalm-inspired song exclaims that God’s name is magnificent. When researching the names of God I found one commentary which lists 951 names and titles so I thought I’d highlight a few that resound with my experience of God:

• Ancient of Days - He is eternal

• Prince of Peace - Isaiah 9:6

Each name of God reveals something more of His love and character. My hope for this coming season is that I’d get to know more of God in His incredible vastness. He is both intergalactic and very personal. He is one who fights earnestly for justice whilst also leading us by quiet streams to restore our souls. He provides for us whilst also pruning us for future growth.
