In 2019, the whole world was hit hard by Covid and life became dramatically different. My family experienced some hard losses and went through some extremely difficult times.

The job I was working became extremely difficult and was overwhelming me on a daily basis. I was working 7 days a week and not even sleeping on Saturdays. It was starting to weigh on me and my family. Then, in May of 2020, my dad passed in his sleep. It was a devastating blow. I was definitely not prepared for that. Several months later my wife’s dad also passed. I was very broken-hearted and told God I needed His strength. I needed Him to speak to me. I needed to know He still had a plan and purpose for me.

As He often does, God spoke to me through His word.

Psalm 29 reminded me that “the voice of the Lord echoes above the sea” . . . “the voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is majestic.”

This was a solid reminder that God is still real, He is still God, and He still speaks to me.
